There are two major divisions to the organization:

• Locally (Utah) is AIRS-Utah (African Immigrant Resource Support of Utah)
       Our staff comprises full-time and part time, professionally trained public health personnel and volunteers. Our mission is to work in partnership with the Utah African immigrant community and stakeholders to assess, plan, and implement effective public health strategies to reduce the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. Our organization serves approximately 500 African families.



• International and Local is Operation ChEER (Children's Education, Elevation, and Rescue)
       Our mission and focus is on providing education and training for the orphans (and widows) of HIV/AIDS. Other children in need will also be considered, with the orphans having priority. Without the children's aid provided through Musungu.org (and similar NPOs), by means of good training or education these children are doomed to lives of abject poverty and probably crime. However, a worse condition is that the vicious cycle of HIV/AIDS will continue, possibly for generations, adding to the already dreadful situation.
