Watoto Hope Society (The Musungu HIV/AIDS Support Organization) is a community-based organization with local and international operations. Watoto is Swahili for Children.
We are a Non-Profit Organization (NPO) dedicated to support the victims of poverty, disease, and dispair (such as HIV/AIDS) through education and training. Besides being a NPO, the organization is also a 501(c)(3) charitable organization by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) of the United States of America.. So, as a charity, all of your donations in the United States of America are tax-deductable.

There are two major divisions to the organization:

  • AIRS-Utah (African Immigrant Resource Support of Utah)
Our local (Utah) staff comprises full-time and part time, professionally trained public health personnel and volunteers. Our mission is to work in partnership with the Utah African immigrant community and stakeholders to assess, plan, and implement effective public health strategies to reduce the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. Our organization serves approximately 500 African families.

  • Operation ChEER (Children's Education, Elevation, and Rescue)
Our mission and focus is on providing education and training for the orphans (and widows) of HIV/AIDS and the victims of Poverty and Dispair. Other children in need will also be considered, with the orphans having priority. It is International and local.

Making a generous donation to Watoto Hope Society is a marvelous way to provide aid and support to those in dire need. Your charitable donation is greatly appreciated.
